His fingers were laced around me as he carried me. I had a feeling of weightlessness as he held me close to his chest like he use to when we were alive. I bet we looked like some fucked up version of Romeo and Juliet.
I wanted to look the part. He wore the same the same thing he wore the day I asked him to shoot me in the chest. He had returned to rabbit tail to me the first Halloween, but this was our second. He had gone out of his way to find me and now here he was. Carrying me to a river in the white dress I was going to wear for him.
I was his heavy heart to carry.
I shook my head. No words were needed for this. Slowly we reached the river and his feet hid the rocks with dull thuds. He didn't let me go nor did he stop as we descended into the slope, no matter how much I was weighing him.
I closed my eyes when I heard the roaring waters. His brown eyes were full of tears. I could tell because his tears were hitting me on my lips. "I asked for this," I whispered softly as the water's roar came closer. He must have nodded his head before continuing as he stood still.
I could feel the water hitting my feet and we kept going down. Down into the river's cold waters and Tate stopped only for a moment. The waters kept rising and my dress did too. "I love you," he said and my eyes snapped open as the waters crashed over my face.
I could see him from under the water as he held me down. I died in his arms this time. Our first Halloween together and he had killed me again, on my request in the white dress that I made for him.
